I've been feeling sluggish lately. It must be from the weather acting totally mad, working too hard, too much time in front of a screen and not enough down time with a book. We all do it, not eating right, not exercising, not focussing on what's important. All that unhealthy lifestyle habits we all know we're doing but rarely change.

I am taking some action! You might have seen my fitness post and my giving up dairy and gluten post a while ago... well here is the next step. I have collected healthy recipes, treats, beauty treatments, and every day tips to help you become more relaxed and happier inside and out. Hopefully everything you need to inspire healthy changes are in this post.

First of start by reading "The 5 Best Vitamins for Beautiful Skin" over on Henry Happened. The image above is taken from the very same blog post.

  1. Great ideas Nancy! I love that bikini - I've never worn one, but would be tempted by one like that. #HomeEtc

  2. Oh Nancy I love this post and am in total agreement. I was diagnosed with gluten (and a number of things) allergy back in October and have totally overhauled my eating habits as a start which has revolutionised how I feel. Cooking more, eating more healthily as resulted in that afternoon slump totally disappearing. Taking time during my lunch break at work to sit somewhere else and read my book rather than scoffing food at my desk. i'm going to click through all your links tonight and do some more research, this is totally the way forward (although I have to say that there is a little delivery of gluten-free cakes at home which are being enjoyed even though they're probably quite high in sugar. Everything in moderation!) X #HomeEtc

    1. Oh no I'm sorry to hear that. My stomach problems are a mix of anxiety issues and a sensitive tummy in general. Its crazy how much of a difference it can make! I live on green smoothies and avocados now! Best of luck with it all.

  3. A great post full of great ideas. I have been enjoying green smoothies every morning for a week and a half, I think I'm becoming slightly addicted. However, I do start with lemon and hot water first, does this mean I will have a body like the model wearing the bikini soon? Ha! Thank you for sharing xx #HomeEtc

  4. Lovely post with some great ideas and gorgeous photos. We heart green smoothies in our house, and I always try and do hot water and lemon in the morning (before my coffee, obvs!) ;-) Love the look of those soy candles too
