Simple Scandi Bedroom

Simon and I just got back from an amazing trip to Brooklyn and the apartment we stayed in was so beautiful and bright. Our bedroom was almost totally white with a few grey and natural wood touches, a perfect refuge from such a busy city.

I was invited by Oak Furniture Co to design my perfect room scheme and as I am feeling so inspired by the clean and bright apartment we stayed in I decided to focus on a similar style. We actually need a new bed and I love this Cadiz Oak and Pine one I spotted on the Oak Furniture Co website, perfect for my simple Scandinavian room design.

I've always loved Turkish carpets, there's something so warm and cosy about the beautifully coloured yarn. I'd really like a super modern mirror to sit on top of my chest of drawers and I think the one I've chosen would be perfect, I love the rose gold base. We have a lot of plants in our flat and I think its time to hop on the bandwagon and get some hanging planters, plus who could resist such a beautiful peachy bouquet of flowers? Finally I'd like to add a woven rope basket for storage and a Agate ornament to catch the morning light.

How would you change your bedroom?
