I've got a large collection of coloured inks and other than drawing with them it is hard to think of other ways to use them all. Dip dying paper is the perfect way to use up those inks and create some fun personalised stationery while you're at it.

All you need is some coloured ink and watercolour paper. I chose watercolour paper as it doesnt mind getting wet, in fact it loves it. Different papers will take ink differently so experiment a little.

I cut my paper into strips and squares, then dipped them into to watered down ink to make sure that the paper was wet before dipping into the neat ink. Wet paper works best as it lets the ink travel up better to make that pretty gradient effect. Next dip your pre-soaked paper strips into the neat ink and watch the colour creep upwards. Lay them down or hang to dry.

Now you have your own cards, labels and notes to send to friends or use around your home. Enjoy.
