Record Player

After spending a bit of time listening to great records with an equally great person I have decided that my next purchase really should be my own player. We have a broken record player  in my house ( I think ) and listening to music on a computer, just hell no.  All signs point to a proper music machine.

On my journey I discovered a radical online store called Das Programm that specialise in Dieter Rams' work for Braun and Vitsoe. The Braun electrical section is a modernist design dream, just look at that wooden chassis. FIY the beautiful record players that Das Programm sell were generally produced in the mid 1950's and 60's,  le sigh.

My dad actually collected record players, and so, when I am next at my parents I will be frantically searching in the hopes of discovering a portable one from the early sixties.
